About Grayslake
Grayslake is located about 40 miles north of Chicago with a population of about 20,000. It is home to the College of Lake County, Grays Lake, and two Metra Lines that goes to Downtown Chicago. Part of the draw of Grayslake is the charmingly historic downtown with multiple local restaurants and shops but also the proximity to the village of Gurnee, which has many major stores, Gurnee Mills (the third-largest mall in IL,) Six Flags Great America and Great Wolf Lodge.
Most of the Grayslake are clean and quiet. The unincorporated area on the East side is relatively close to the tollway, I-94, but the west end is 7 miles away from I-94, and some people may find that to be inconvenient. Also, the property tax is rather high except for the unincorporated area.
There are different ways to look at PM business, but one thing I want to make sure is to protect my time. One of the ways I want to accomplish that is to only manage properties nearby my office/home, so I don’t have to spend time driving all the time. I don’t live in a densely populated area, but I think there is enough business around here. With that, can I concentrate on closer area, not Antioch or Lake Forest? Also, Lake Forest is A+ area, and I’m more concentrated on A- to b- area.
